GRAND MELEE

I found out the original purpose for attack-left: Because of the limited spell radius, every third player can simultaneously take their turn. This means huge multiplayer games can be made to move much faster.

I think the turns have to be synchronized, but either way the game should become much faster. The only trouble is it only works well with 6 or 8 players, or any other multiple of a number greater than 2.

I don't see why Chris is against it, is speeds up the game with little effect on the individual players. Or maybe that's why he hates it Shocked

you said it yourself:

I doubt whether it works at all with 4 either, and when do we ever have any of the other multiples that you are talking about?

the multiplier has to be greater than 2, not the multiplication result!
I'd consider six people to be reasonable.

None of the numbers that you have mentioned meet your initial criterion. i.e.
Quote:
This means huge multiplayer games can be made to move much faster.

which appears to be the sole justification for attacking in a single direction(?)

I cant remember the last time be had enuf people for a 'huge' multiplayer game.
LOL; anyway I dont see a problem as long as you don't ban burn decks!!
Lets do it!!!
